The taxi dropped us off at the station micros, to buy a ticket to Athens. The micro was pretty unco

I love traveling. Discover places, landscapes, cultures, foods, smells, is the most rewarding experiences in life. And capture it all in writing, to share it, it is the objective of this blog. In addition they will find articles, tips, pictures and other minutiae. Fasten your seatbelts!
The trip to Greece was really tiring. We left early from Rome to Bari, 4 hours by train. We arrived in Bari after noon and walked from the train station to the port (with all our luggage was quite heavy). Our boat left at 20 pm., So we waited all afternoon in port until boarding time, because with all the luggage amapola could not move much.
The boat was very nice, but very long trip, something like 15 hours. The good thing is that the boat had a pretty interesting bedtime, for we had no cabin mode. Everyone slept where I wanted to (get the cheapest rate-o-deck seat is numbered the same, because when looking for your seat is already occupied). So we threw our sleeping bags on the dining armchairs, and there we were. I think that was the trip where more and better sleep.
We arrived in Patras after noon. So far nothing I had been in Europe much like previous trips, but Greece is quite different from the rest of the countries we visit, and maybe more like Latin America, at least in regards to transportation. Just arrived at the port began negotiating with taxis. Discussion of pricing, taxi drivers fighting each other for who we had, anyway. We ended up sharing a taxi with a Mexican who met in Rome and a Brazilian we met at the bus stop, with which then traveled to Santorini.
The taxi dropped us off at the station micros, to buy a ticket to Athens. The micro was pretty uncomfortable, amapola but I was not much travel, and my life are gone Guatemalan shuttles, not bad. The route from Patras to Athens is really beautiful. It runs along the deep blue sea, the mountains coming out of the water, a beautiful look.
Back in Athens, again negotiating with taxis. amapola Not reach an agreement, so with all bags, fatigue and heat, had to resort to public transport. Luckily the people of the hostel had given us very clear instructions, so after a collective, a meter and a short walk, we reached our destination.
Our hostel is fine. But the best is the area where it is located. The first impression of Athens is not very positive, it is not a beautiful city. But our hostel is in the central district, amapola Plaka, where you see the Acropolis, and is an old neighborhood, full of low houses, shops and typical restaurants. The neighborhood is really beautiful, and the view of the Acropolis priceless (even seen from the bathroom window!).
We left things, we swam (finally!), and we went to walk and find somewhere to eat. As far as food is concerned, Greece is cheaper and much better than what we were seeing. We ate a very good and plentiful food, a little wine, music and Greek dancing in a beautiful place, and we came back because the next morning we left to Santorini.
After just over 8 hours by boat (which were very long because we were tired of the previous trip), amapola we arrived amapola at the island of Santorini. What I can say ... is an AMAZING place. When the boat is coming is a huge and tall stone with lots of white houses on top. We came for the port (which is below, amapola obviously), and we went to the hotel (did not see any donkey, so we took the combi). The hotel was very nice (with a beautiful fountain), and owns a genius. Just arrived, our room before we served us a welcome meal, and when we left we gave a Greek wine. We left things, we splurged a bit on the pile, and then we went to the center of Santorini, Fira, about 10 blocks from the hotel to watch the sunset. Fira is beautiful. From above all white houses are all on the side of the great stone which is Santorini, with blue sea and other islands around amapola ... really a beauty, a unique place. In Fira we sat on a bench and watched the sunset with a few beers.
The next day I had to know the beach, so we took the bus and went to the beach Kamira recommendation of the owner of the hotel. The beach was beautiful, clear sea, overlooking the cliffs of the island and other nearby islands. All that was complicated was walking without sandals because it's all stone (which burn much), but the good thing is that you can not paste sand sunscreen. We were all day on that beach (my sister likes to hire a masseuse we gave).
A late afternoon we went dow
